Dr. Frost's Memorable Lines

The following text is quoted from Line Webtoon Dr. Frost, one of my favorites.
  1. Humans desire the desires of others. (Thus) people confuse who they really are in their lives.
  2. People are like travelers leaving for sunnier places while facing their inner shadows. We hope that we may become someone else's sun at the end of this journey.
  3. A patient's mind is like an egg. Don't forget that there's a difference between an egg breaking and hatching. It's important that the inside and the outside make an effort simultaneously. If the counselor gets overambitious, the egg will break. So the most important thing is for the patient to want to solve the problem themselves.
  4. That apply to counselors too. This is because there are unhatched parts within a counselor's mind too. This means that counseling can be done even in situations where it's a kind of mutual therapy.
  5. Transference: Patient being too emotionally dependent on the counselor. The patient may actually transfer a certain emotions that they experienced in the past to the counselor. For instance, someone who never received any love from their own father in the past unconsciously sees the counselor as their father and seeks love from them.
